With two decades of major gifts experience, Dennis will show you how to find major donors, interact with them, bring them closer to your organization, decide on the size gift to ask for, solicit the gift, and what to do after the gift is made. This will be an interactive session, so bring your stories, examples, issues, and questions to share.

Dennis has raised millions of dollars, including numerous six and seven-figure gifts in outright and deferred gifts for non-profit organizations in higher education (Boston University and Wellesley College), international development (Oxfam America), health and human rights (Physicians for Human Rights), public broadcasting (WBUR, Boston), and animal welfare (Animal Rescue League of Boston).  His background includes front-line major gifts and senior major gifts officer positions as well as holding director of major gifts and chief development officer posts.  He also has capital campaign experience.

Dennis emphasizes organizational development as a key component of an organization’s fundraising program, and holds an MBA in Public and Not-for-Profit Management from Boston University. Dennis is now sharing his knowledge and expertise with not-for-profits and individuals on a consulting basis.

An accomplished public speaker, Dennis has been a classical music announcer on Boston public radio stations, currently on a part-time basis for WCRB, 99.5 FM.
