Brianne_headshotThis practical and interactive session will provide a step-by-step process for developing a communications plan for your organization that will accomplish two main goals – raising awareness and raising funds – at a time when everyone is more overwhelmed than ever with information. You’ll learn how to establish a solid foundation for your plan by defining your organization’s “So What?” and how to choose the most appropriate vehicles for targeting your messages to the right audiences, and how to tell if your efforts are paying off.

Brianne Miers has 15 years of experience in strategic planning, public relations, marketing and donor communications, and content creation. She founded Kind Communications in July 2013 to raise the reach and revenue of cause-driven organizations and enterprises. She previously led the non-profit practice of Solomon McCown & Company, a Boston-based public affairs firm, and served as communications director for the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation (MLAC), the largest funder of civil legal aid programs in the Commonwealth. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from The George Washington University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University’s S.I.
